Meet the owners
Sean & Mike Davis
From the depths of Southwest Colorado, Mike and Sean were both born in Durango, Colorado, just over the mountain from the ranch. They have a lifetime of experience in this specific area of the San Juan Mountains. Starting out from children, they grew to be very solid hunters and outdoors men. Their combined experience in the outdoors is vast, ranging from chasing big bulls in Southwest Colorado, rutting bucks in Western Oklahoma, to fly fishing for Silver salmon on the Ayakulik River in Kodiak, Alaska.
OUR BEGINNINGS WERE HUMBLE
After working with and for Circle K Ranch as a guide/wrangler for over a decade Mike fulfilled his life long dream by purchasing the permit with his brother Sean to operate their own outfit out of the mountains they grew up in. Mike and Sean have lived and worked in Southwest Colorado since the 90's making them local experts on the terrain, game, and history of the land. The family dates back to mining and ranching in the area in the late 1800's so to say the roots are strong here would be an understatement. They both have hunted GMU 71 for the majority of their lives and have become very knowledgeable of the area and surrounding areas as well.
Circle K Ranch was the original outfit for this specific area that dates back to the early 80's. Al Cannon , the owner of the ranch, and his family ran the outfit for 40 years building a legacy that we plan to continue. The majority of his clients were return customers, where some have been coming back for over 30 years and they will continue on with us!
